From the honey-colored streets of Bath to the secondhand bookshops of Hay-on-Wye, from the living history of St Fagans National Museum of History to the vibrant, storybook village of Portmeirion, this journey celebrates the beauty and creativity woven into British life. Along the way, ride the narrow-gauge Ffestiniog Railway through the mountains of Snowdonia and wander the impressive medieval walls of Caernarfon Castle before returning to England for the grand finale: two full days at the renowned Festival of Quilts in Birmingham.

At the heart of the trip is a three-day batik workshop at the renowned Threads of Life Natural Dye Studio, set in a tropical garden just outside Ubud. Here you’ll learn to draw with hot wax, coax color from plants, and create your own textile using centuries-old Indonesian techniques.
