Star of India
Star of India was inspired by patterns from Dover Clip Art and features traditional Indian Henna (Mehndi) designs surrounding a central medallion. The quilt is enhanced with crosshatching, micro-stippling, and line work to bring the Mehndi patterns to life. It’s a piece that blends cultural elements with quilting techniques and is honored to be part of the permanent collection at the National Quilt Museum. A quiet celebration of design and craftsmanship, it invites viewers to appreciate the simplicity and detail in every stitch.
